I saw the most interesting article today.
It was a very short article that said, last night a woman fell three stories from her apartment balcony and survived with minor injuries. The interesting part? She was naked.
There was a man waiting for the bus outside the apartment she lives in and was shocked to see a naked 19-20 year old fall from the sky to land in the snow drift right behind him.
The last part of the article held some thought provoking facts… perhaps fodder for a story???
It was speculated that the woman was the victim of domestic abuse, there may have been drugs involved, and there was a 6 year old boy in the apartment who was not the woman’s son (on paper or biologically). The boy has been taken into protective custody.
See. Reality is always stranger than fiction.
When I was a more active freelancer, I used to get most of my article ideas from news items I heard broadcast or read in the papers. It's a great resource for fiction writers, too, for considering “what if?” and elaborating from there. And welcome to BlogCatalog!
