Well I’m doing pretty good. Sorry I haven’t given you any other word count updates but here is one for yesterday. 513 words on Ice Debt 521 words on a new short story (not yet titled) That’s 1033 words in 2 hours. Not my best writing speed, but pretty good considering. Depite the fact that [...]

Today I can honestly tell you that life is good. I’m not stressed out at work, I’m able to write over my lunch hours, my dogs have been behaving (mostly) and my writing is doing great. Here’s what I mean: Tuesday: 696 words on that unnamed short story. Wednesday: 669 words on the same story [...]

Wednesdays! Wednesdays are great days. It’s the day of the week that I get to meet up with Rox and write. It’s like making a doctors appointment or scheduling an important meeting in that it’s something you have to keep. But it’s enjoyable because I want to do anyway. I don’t have much in the [...]

Chinese Whisperings are 10 stories about 10 different people. The twist in this collection is that each new story takes a minor character from the story before and makes him or her into the main character. The whole thing works extremely well. It is not a novel in chapters, and therefore slightly disconcerting when you meet the person or persons from the story before in a completely different setting. But it works wonderfully.”
